1. Thousands of baby chickens were found dead inside cardboard boxes at Miami International Airport after being left out on the tarmac. An investigation is now underway as the chickens were reportedly part of a shipment heading to the Abaco Big Bird Family Farm in the Bahamas. (Fox 29)
2. Monkeypox vaccines were administered for free at the Hagen Park Community Center on Friday and Saturday by appointment only. Appointments filled first. South Florida has reported the most cases in Florida with nearly 130 cases in Broward County. (WSVN)
3. A man was killed in a shooting in Southwest Miami-Dade County on Saturday night. Miami-Dade police responded to 1925 SW 125 Court to reports of a shooting at approximately 9:58 p.m. The suspect remains at large. (NBC Miami)
4. Senior Chief Musician Luis Hernandez from Miami celebrated his retirement from the Navy after 26 years of service on Sunday, June 17. Hernandez joined the Navy Band Commodores jazz ensemble, the Navy's premier jazz band, in 1996 as a tenor saxophonist and has won several awards as a civilian. (Miami's Community News)
5. Two Miami men were arrested early Sunday in the Florida Keys after deputies found an injured Key deer in their vehicle. At 1:56 a.m. deputies stopped the vehicle for failing to maintain its lane. The men are charged with cruelty to animals and taking, possessing or selling a federally designated endangered or threatened species. (Fox 29)
