JUPITER, FL — A letter containing a white powdery substance and a death threat was sent to the South Florida home of Donald Trump Jr., according to multiple reports.

Police, fire and hazmat teams responded to the Jupiter home of the eldest son of the former president and 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump Monday evening, according to CBS News.

When Trump Jr. opened the letter in his office, the white powder fell out.

“The test results of the substance came up inconclusive on what it was exactly, but officials on the scene do not believe it is deadly,” the spokesperson said.

“It’s just become a little bit too commonplace that this sort of stuff happens,” Trump Jr. told the Daily Caller. “Clearly, if this happened to a prominent Democrat it wouldn’t be tolerated and would drive news coverage for weeks. The media would blame all Republicans and force them to answer for it, But since it’s me, radical haters on the left will largely get a free pass and the media will barely flinch.”

He added, “It doesn’t matter what your politics are, this type of crap is unacceptable.”

U.S. postal officials, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and federal investigators are working on the case.

"The FBI, along with our local law enforcement partners, responded to an incident involving a suspicious letter sent to an address in Jupiter, Florida," the FBI Miami field office said in a statement to CBS News. "We encourage the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement."

This is the second time white powder has been sent to Trump Jr.

In 2018, his then-wife, Vanessa, was brought to a New York City hospital, after opening an envelope addressed to Trump Jr. that contained an unidentified white power. It was later determined that it wasn’t dangerous.

His brother, Eric, also received an envelope holding a white power that also was found to be harmless.

During the 2016 campaign, envelopes with white power were twice sent to Trump Tower.
