Baywinds HOA wins fight to remove flashing yellow arrow after crash (palmbeachpost.com) — Drivers turning into the Baywinds community off Okeechobee Boulevard in West Palm Beach must once again wait for a solid green arrow after FDOT removed a controversial flashing yellow left-turn signal. Baywinds residents, many of them older drivers, pushed for the change after a serious crash and a spike in accidents they blamed on risky turns and poor visibility at the busy intersection.
   

2. Palm Beach County commissioner has idea to help homebuyers (cw34.com) — A proposed Palm Beach County Homebuyer Match Pilot Program based in West Palm Beach could soon help qualified buyers with up to $50,000 toward down payments and closing costs. The loans would be forgiven after 15 years of occupancy and are funded from developer contributions, not taxpayers, with county commissioners set to vote on January 6.
   

3. We Belong Here scenic-driven music festival comes to West Palm Beach (palmswestjournal.com) — A new two-day electronic music festival, We Belong Here: Palm Beach, is coming to Meyer Amphitheatre on West Palm Beach’s downtown waterfront December 27–28. Residents can catch big-name DJs like Kaskade and Axwell on a 360-degree stage, enjoy curated food options, and experience a Miami-born festival concept without leaving town.
   

4. Ex-Brightline conductor sues for $60M; says crashes left him with PTSD (palmbeachpost.com) — A former Brightline conductor based in West Palm Beach is suing the company for $60 million, claiming repeated fatal crashes and being sent to inspect wreckage left him with PTSD. Filed this week in federal court in West Palm Beach, the suit alleges Brightline discouraged staff from taking mental health days after collisions along its South Florida–Orlando route.
