'The Devil Told Me To Kill Everyone': FL Man Crashes Into Jail Lobby
A FL man wearing a woman's blouse crashed into a jail lobby, threw rubber snakes and expressed a disdain for ex-President Donald Trump.

MARTIN COUNTY, FL — A Florida man who used the "wrong entrance" and crashed into the Martin County Jail is facing charges after authorities say he threw snakes in the lobby and expressed wanting to "kill everyone" as he was instructed by the devil.
Authorities said Joseph Leedy, a 40-year-old "amped up" man considered to be homeless, crashed through the jail's lobby doors Tuesday night and subsequently exited the car wearing a ladies blouse and no pants.
Leedy then poured motor oil on the lobby floor and his car as he expressed a desire to set them both ablaze, Martin County Chief Deputy John Budensiek said at a news conference.

He was accused of then making homicidal threats toward officers and saying he wanted to "kill everyone" as he threw rubber snakes on the floor, authorities said.

Leedy also threw cell phones on the floor, Budensiek said. He added it took some time to calm down Leedy, who was administered ketamine. The medication did not sedate him, Budensiek said.

"While our deputies were interacting with him, he kept saying things like, 'The devil told me to kill everyone,' and he kept sharing his disdain for (former) President Donald Trump," Budensiek said.
While Leedy was "emphatic" about his hate for Trump, Budensiek said Leedy did not make threats to the former president. Leedy was adamant that "the devil told me to kill as many people as possible," Budensiek said.
Authorities said Leedy fought with deputies and fire rescue personnel. Talking could not calm Leedy, and it took the use of a Taser to "put him in check," Budensiek said.
Leedy was not able to breach the steel doors, authorities added.
"The suspect drove from the parking lot, up the walkway then crashed through the glass lobby doors. He was not able to breach the inner steel security doors. No one was in the lobby at the time of the crash. The driver is in custody. #WrongEntrance," authorities said in a Facebook post.
Leedy was accused of causing thousands of dollars in damage during the crash. Authorities said he was restrained and taken to Martin Memorial Hospital, where they said he remained uncooperative.
Budensiek said Leedy consistently laughed and joked about being given "more medication" while at the hospital.
"First and foremost, we're thankful that none of our deputies were injured," Budensiek said. "Right behind this door, you have a dedicated group of individuals that come here 24/7 to keep this county safe and to protect our inmates that are here, and he risked their lives."
He said if there had been deputies behind the doors at the time of the crash, their lives could have potentially been taken.
"This is just a reminder of how dangerous our job really is," Budensiek said.
Leedy was ultimately charged on suspicion of four counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and criminal mischief of over $1000 and booked into the Martin County Jail, authorities said.
Budensiek said, to the knowledge of the sheriff's office, Leedy has no prior arrest record and has never been incarcerated in the Martin County Jail; however, he said deputies have previously given Leedy trespassing warnings.
