Man Fatally Shot, Found Dead Outside Bar: Police
The driver of a fleeing motorcycle was taken into custody, police said.
PORT ST. LUCIE, FL — A man was fatally shot overnight and found dead behind a bar in Port St. Lucie, according to police.
Authorities responded to a shooting around 2 a.m. Sunday in the area of Harpers Pub in the 1700 block of Southeast Port St. Lucie Boulevard, police said. Officers found the victim dead and lying in the road on Southeast Greendon Avenue behind the business, according to police.
A motorcycle was seen fleeing the scene and was pursued into Martin County after the driver refused to stop for officers, police said. The driver was eventually taken into custody on Southwest Citrus Boulevard, according to police.

“This incident was a targeted shooting and not a random act of violence,” police tweeted Sunday.
The investigation is active and ongoing, according to police, who asked anyone with information to call detectives at 772-871-5001 or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-8477.
