NFL Texans Player Injured In FL Restaurant Shooting That Hurt 10
A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the Cabana Live shooting that injured 10 people, including the Texans' Tank Dell.

SANFORD, FL — A 16-year-old boy is facing multiple felony charges after authorities said he shot into a crowd at a Florida restaurant and injured 10 people, including Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell.
The Texans confirmed the news in a post Sunday on X, formerly Twitter, adding Dell has since been released from the hospital.
The shooting happened after a fight broke out around midnight Sunday at Cabana Live near Carraway Place, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office said in an arrest report obtained by Patch.

The venue is about 36 miles from Dell's Daytona Beach hometown.
Authorities accused Christopher Bouie Jr., who was not involved in the fight, of turning around and shooting into a crowd of people with a black and silver handgun. The gun was later identified as a 9-mm handgun, authorities said.

Nearby security guards "almost immediately" tackled Bouie and handcuffed him, authorities said. Spent shell casings matched the handgun recovered from Bouie, authorities said.
Bouie was unable to be questioned at the scene and was taken to the Seminole County Juvenile Assessment Center, authorities said.
He was charged on suspicion of attempted homicide, discharging a firearm on a public property, display and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a minor, authorities said.
Cabana Live said its venue was being used for a private event at the time of the shooting.
"We are cooperating with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and praying for all those involved. ... Our Cabana Live family is 100% safe and appreciate all the prayers and concerns. We are open our normal business hours," Cabana Live said in a Facebook post Sunday.
The severity of injuries is unknown; however, Dell's injury was minor, the Texans said in the X post.
"He sustained a minor wound but has been released from the hospital, and he is good spirits. We are in contact with him and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate but we ask that you please respect his privacy at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident," the Texans said in the post.
A motive in the shooting is unknown.
