Wellington Mall Evacuated After Fireworks Spark Scare: Report

Shoppers panicked as they feared a shooting, and one person was injured in a fall while evacuating according to first responders.

WELLINGTON, FL — Someone set off fireworks inside the Mall at Wellington Green on Saturday, causing security to clear the shopping area according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Officials are investigating, and and one person was injured from a fall during the evacuation according to WPBF-TV.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's office has "evidence to believe" that someone set off fireworks, the report said.
