GA Father Shoots, Kills Baby, Mother And Himself; Grandmother Injured: Reports

GEORGIA — A Newton County father kidnapped and fatally shot his 1-year-old daughter after fatally shooting the mother and injuring the grandmother, according to multiple reports.

An Amber Alert went out Saturday night by the grandmother after Darian Bennett shot her and abducted 1-year-old Jaquari Bennett, reported WAGA-TV. The baby was shot to death hours after he killed her mother and shot her grandmother in the head.

Police received a call from Bennett Sunday around 7 a.m. saying he was planning to kill the baby and himself, reported WSB-TV. Police used GPS to locate his vehicle and they found it abandoned in front of Riverdale United Methodist Church. Officers heard shots behind the building and found Bennett and the baby shot to death.
