Georgia Election 2022: Early Voting Ends Friday
Today is the last day to early vote across Georgia in the state's most anticipated races.

ATLANTA, GA — Early voters have through Friday, Nov. 4, to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day, Nov. 8.
Generally, polling places are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the week.
On Election Day, polling places will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. According to the Secretary of State's office, as long as people are in line by 7 p.m., they will be allowed to vote.

Voters should go to the My Voter Page to determine that they are eligible to vote and to find their polling place and early voting locations. Voters can also confirm their addresses are up to date and view sample ballots.
People can still register to vote if there is a federal runoff election, the date for which is set as Dec. 6. The deadline to register for that election is Nov. 7.

Officials with the Secretary of State's office reported record turnout in early voting in its 17 days. According to the SOS office, nearly 1.9 million early voters casted their ballots as of Thursday morning.
“By close of business today, 2 million Georgians will have cast their ballot in person – a record for early voting in a midterm,” Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said in a news release. “Georgia is the state where voters show up early, and our county election directors have created that infrastructure to make it a resounding success.”
The nation has its eyes set on Georgia's gubernatorial and U.S. Senate races.
Republican Gov. Brian Kemp was leading the gubernatorial race against Democrat Stacey Abrams while Rev. Raphael Warnock, a Democrat, and Herschel Walker, a Republican, were evenly matched in the Senate polls, according to Real Clear Politics.
