Last Day To Apply For Georgia Absentee Ballots Approaches
Voters can request absentee ballots in the 2022 general election through Friday.

GEORGIA — Friday, Oct. 28, is the final day to request an absentee ballot in the 2022 general election.
Voters have several options to request absentee ballots through their local election offices. Ballots must be received by 7 p.m., Nov. 8, Election Day.
Ballots may be tracked using Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger's My Voter Page or BallotTrax.

Georgia has its eyes set on two hotly contested races as people wait to see who will win the gubernatorial seat between Gov. Brian Kemp and Stacey Abrams, as well as who the state's next U.S. senator will be between Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker.
Other notable races are secretary of state, lieutenant governor, state school superintendent and attorney general.

Raffensperger's office reported high numbers for early voting, which ends Nov. 4. According to his office Wednesday morning, 1,017,732 voters have casted ballots in the first nine days of early voting.
"Georgia has had record early voting turnout since the first day of early voting this year, surging to nearly twice the number on the first day of early voting in 2018," state officials said in a news release.
