Watch Out: Latest GA Text Scam Seeks Driver's License Info
The Georgia Department of Driver Services is warning the public to beware of scammers seeking driver's license information.
GEORGIA — Watch out for new text message scams. That’s what the Georgia Department of Driver Services is warning the public.
The latest scam is an attempt to steal driver’s license information, the department shared on a Facebook post. Scammers have been sending people text messages with links asking them to verify their driver’s license information due to a temporary suspension.
“Do not fall for text messages about license suspensions! Delete the post and link. It is an attempt to steal your information! DDS will never call, email or text you for information unless you contact us first!”
