GA Man Arrested After Firing Shots In Buckhead Business District: Police
Atlanta police have arrested a man who they said fired shots Tuesday afternoon in the Buckhead business district, damaging a nearby Sephora.

ATLANTA, GA — A man who police said opened fire in the Buckhead business district Tuesday afternoon has been arrested, according to the Atlanta Police Department.
Investigators said they believe the man was targeting a vehicle, but instead, missed and sent at least one bullet through a Sephora on Peachtree Road NE. Officers canvassed the area and located 33-year-old Henok Gebremichael hiding in a nearby neighborhood, they said. After a short foot chase, Gebremichael was transported to Fulton County Jail, police said.
He has been charged with 12 counts of reckless conduct, criminal damage to property-2nd degree, discharge of firearm near street, and possession of firearm by a convicted felon, police said.

Gebremichael also has an extensive criminal history, police said, that includes out of state arrest for charges for:
- Obstructing a public officer
- Unlawful firearm possession
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Criminal trespass
- Assault
- Robbery
- Domestic battery
- Coercion
“Due to the quick thinking and rapid response of the officers, they were able to identify and make an arrest of Gebremichael on the scene,” the Atlanta Police Department shared in a statement. “He was a dangerous threat to the community and to the citizens of Atlanta and thankfully, no innocent bystander or officers were injured.”
