Free Medicare Advice Now Available in Cobb

Counselors will help individuals make informed decisions about Medicare.

A volunteer program that provides free information and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers is now available in Cobb.

A GeorgiaCares counselor will be available by appointment at the Cobb County Senior Wellness Center, 1150 Powder Springs St., Suite 100, Marietta.

"The counselors help individuals make informed decisions about such topics as Medicare Part D (drug coverage), Medicare Health Plans or Medicare Supplement coverage, as well as help clients chose the exact plan that meets their needs best," Grace Trimble, the spokeswoman for the Atlanta Regional Commission, said in a statement.
