2 GA Bulldogs Arrested On Reckless Driving Charges A Day Apart: Report

Their arrests came when driving under the influence charges were dropped against UGA running back Trevor Etienne​ this week, a report says.

ATHENS, GA — Two Georgia Bulldogs were arrested this week after being accused of racing and reckless driving, per media reports.

University of Georgia linebacker Smael Mondon was arrested around 11 p.m. Wednesday and was charged on suspicion of racing on highway streets and reckless driving, UGASports reported Thursday.

Fellow Bulldog Bo Hughley, an offensive lineman, was arrested around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday and was charged on suspicion of failure to maintain proper lane and reckless driving, the sports outlet reported.

Both players were released from jail on $26 bonds, UGASports reported.

Their arrests came when driving under the influence charges were dropped against UGA running back Trevor Etienne this week in an Athens-Clarke County court, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Thursday.

"Etienne pleaded no contest to the reckless-driving charge and guilty to underage possession of alcohol and two other driving offenses," the AJC reported.
