Gators-Bulldogs: 4 Arrested After FL Cops, Fans Clash At Football Game
Bodycam videos show physical clashes between police officers and fans during the Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators football game.
JACKSONVILLE, FL — Four people were under arrest and police bodycam footage was released Monday following violent clashes over the weekend at the Georgia-Florida football game.
The Bulldogs won the rival matchup Saturday against the Gators, 34-20, at EverBank Stadium in Florida. However, the action went beyond the football field and into the stands.
Brandon Boley, Walter Brown, Michael Long and Alexander Long were arrested during the brawl, authorities said. Charges are unknown.

Multiple videos posted by X users, such as Ohio's Tate and BearDownNation, appear to show at least one police officer punching fans in the stands. In one of the videos, a man appears to be hit with a stun gun before engaging in a fight with an officer.
However, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released body camera footage of the incidents, which they say tells a more complete story than the viral clips circulating social media. Waters said the body camera videos contrast the circulating cell phone footage.

Patch has reviewed the body camera footage, which was shown during a press conference Monday.
In the footage, both incidents, which occurred around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, seem to escalate as officers attempted to eject men during the game. In total, 35 people were kicked out of the Georgia-Florida game, Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters said.
Authorities acknowledged force was used during the incidents but said it was necessary due to threats they say were presented.
"Those were our officers who were in danger," Waters said. " ... We don't arbitrarily do things because we just want to do them. ..."
In one of the body camera videos, a man who authorities identified as Brown is heard saying, "I'm gonna kill a cop," when approached by officers. Brown was also accused of reaching for an officer's gun.
In the footage, authorities said all of the men who were approached refused to comply with orders.
In an earlier tweet, Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan said she is aware of the "disturbing videos" and has spoken to the sheriff's office.
I’m aware of several disturbing videos circulating from yesterday’s game. I have spoken to Sheriff Waters and the incidents are under investigation. We are awaiting the outcome of that investigation.
