Man Accused Of Kidnapping Charged In Hit-and-Run Crashes In Athens
A Lawrenceville man was charged on suspicion of kidnapping, hit and run, reckless driving and other charges in Athens-Clarke County.
ATHENS, GA — A Lawrenceville man is facing charges after being accused of kidnapping a minor and being involved in multiple hit-and-run crashes Monday morning in the 200 block of Highland Park Drive.
Officers responded around 5 a.m. after being notified that a minor was being kidnapped, Athens-Clarke County Police said.
The man's vehicle was found at Westchester Drive after multiple hit-and-run crashes, and the minor was located and taken to a hospital, police said.

Police did not identify the minor's age or say if the minor was injured.
Officers arrested Jehron Keys, 19, and charged Keys on suspicion of kidnapping, child molestation, statutory rape, reckless driving, three counts of hit and run, failure to maintain lane and unsafe tires, police said.

Athens-Clarke County Jail records show Keys remained incarcerated Monday.
