- A woman was hospitalized after a carjacking over the weekend. According to officials, a minor and an adult man have been taken into custody after a 59-year-old woman was run over by her own vehicle. The carjacking took place outside the woman's West End home on Saturday morning. Just after the woman opened the gate to drive her car off the property, a man ran to the vehicle and stole it in broad daylight. Click the link to see the full story. (CBS 46 News)
- A man disguised as an old woman robbed a Chase Bank on Jonesboro Road in McDonough on Monday. According to officials, the 6-foot-tall man was caught on security footage wearing a flora dress and a white wig before he approached the counter and handed them a note demanding money. He received the money and left the bank in a white SUV that officials say could be a Lexus. Click the link to see photos of the event. (Atlanta Patch)
- Over $4,000 was charged to a man's card after he expected to pay less than $300 for an Avis car rental at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. The man has been fighting with the car rental service for five months after a one-day trip with a rental vehicle. When Avis allocated the fees to the man, they said that he kept the car 10 days longer than he originally agreed to. However, when the charges were disputed, it was discovered that the man had dropped the car off within 24 hours of rental. Fortunately, the man got his money back after months of fighting. - The American Lung Association's grade is in for Atlanta, and it is not good. The American Lung Association's senior director explained the "F" grade given in their "State of the Air" assessment in a segment on WABE. - A man who was once featured on "90-Day Fiancé" is wanted by U.S. Marshal Services. According to officials, Michael Baltimore, 43, is wanted in connection to a murder that took place in 2021 in Pennsylvania. Officials warned the public in several cities where Baltimore is known to have connections, but Atlanta was specifically listed as one of his go-to locations. (WSB Atlanta)
