Filming In GA: Release Dates, New Projects Revealed (patch.com) — Georgia’s booming film industry continues to showcase Atlanta landmarks, from the Fox Theatre and The Varsity to Perimeter Mall and the Atlanta Motor Speedway, in new and upcoming TV shows and movies. Several Atlanta-based reality and scripted series, including Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, Married to Medicine: Atlanta, Real Murders of Atlanta, and The Atlanta Opera Showcase, are currently filming, underscoring the city’s growing role in entertainment production.

ATL Airport Superior For Business Travelers, Survey Says (patch.com) — Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has been ranked the top U.S. airport for business travelers by Corporate Traveler USA, highlighting its convenience, dining, and overall traveler experience. The survey of 100 travel managers also placed ATL first for convenience and dining, underscoring its importance as a major hub with hundreds of daily flights and extensive domestic and international connections.

Data Center Dominance (georgiatrend.com) — Metro Atlanta has rapidly become one of the world’s top data center hubs, reshaping everything from local tax bases to neighborhood zoning fights in places like Little Five Points and East Atlanta Village. The piece explains how AI-driven demand, Georgia Power and PSC decisions, and rural county battles over rezoning are determining where these massive facilities go and who pays for their energy and water use.
   

4. One hospitalized following New Year's Eve house fire in southeast Atlanta (fox5atlanta.com) — One person was hospitalized with arm burns after a New Year’s Eve house fire in southeast Atlanta’s Thomasville Heights neighborhood, where crews arrived within minutes and quickly attacked the blaze. Atlanta Fire Rescue is still investigating the cause, the extent of damage, and whether anyone else was inside when the fire started.
