- Tens of thousands of conventioneers are expected in downtown Atlanta this week for the largest corporate convention since the start of the pandemic. Today, Primerica, a Duluth-based financial services company, is opening its big biennial in Atlanta. Attendees will hear inspirational speakers, attend workshops, and explore exhibit booths. "This week, Atlanta will know what Primerica is about when thousands of our teammates from across North America gather to celebrate our company's incredible achievements," said Glenn Williams, CEO. - A 4-year-old was found wandering a street in Atlanta wearing only his Spiderman underwear and a backpack yesterday. The child was found walking around Glenwood Avenue near a shopping area and apartment homes. Atlanta Police were able to find the boy's parents. As of Tuesday evening, police had not yet commented on the incident. (Atlanta Patch)
- On Monday, Atlanta broke the rainfall record for the year with over 2 inches of reported rainfall. 2.4 inches of rain fell across Atlanta and rain is expected to continue off and on throughout the area. It will stay warm and humid this week with a chance of rain each day of the Jul. 4 weekend. (CBS 46 News)
- Still making plans for the 4th of July? There are plenty of celebrations happening throughout Atlanta and in the nearby areas including fireworks, parades, and other celebrations. "Look Up Atlanta: July 4 Celebration" will take place on Jul. 3 in the heart of Atlanta at 265 Park Ave W NW while the "Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race" is happening Jul. 4.
