- New murals are being installed at the intersection of East Boundary and Telfair Street in Augusta, selected due to the intersection's reputation for being dangerous. The Greater Augusta Arts Council collaborated with the community to choose a design that represents love, togetherness, and peace, with the hope that the murals will help create a calmer atmosphere at the intersection. The project has received positive feedback from both passersby and members of the neighborhood who have actively participated in the painting process, providing a sense of empowerment to those involved. - Despite warnings, flashing signs, and speed humps, drivers continue to hit the Olive Road overpass in Augusta, prompting discussions among city leaders for a solution. Commissioner Wayne Guilfoyle suggests placing a PVC pipe with chains across the road to alert drivers of the bridge's height, hoping it will prevent further collisions. Some commissioners even consider the possibility of closing Olive Road to avoid future accidents, while CSX, the owner of the bridge, has petitioned the city for road closure. (WJBF-TV)
- The Exchange Club of Augusta is generously donating $200,000 to various local organizations in the CSRA, thanks to the proceeds from the Georgia Carolina State Fair and Augusta Charity Classic. FCA Metro Director Greg Wilson expressed his gratitude, as the funds provide them with significant momentum to support individuals with limited resources and scholarship them for camps. Mayor Garnett Johnson appreciates seeing the funds being reinvested in the community to assist those in need and believes it contributes to making Augusta a wonderful place. (WJBF-TV)

- For over 50 years, Augusta University has held great significance in Patricia Boerner's life as she dedicated herself to serving the students of Richmond County. In recognition of her teaching legacy, Augusta University, the Augusta Literacy Center, and the Rho Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society accepted a special gift from Boerner's family — a 1911 New York teaching certificate belonging to her mother, Ella Buckley, which was dedicated to the Augusta Literacy Center.
