  1. The rain keeps falling in CSRA as flood reports flow in. South Augusta is particularly hard hit due to ground saturation. WRDW shows photos of flood waters, downed trees, and ultimately a rainbow filled with promise. Residents are encouraged to recall flood safety tips — for example, "turn around, don't drown" can apply to a road covered by just a single inch of water. — and prepare for flooding using sandbags and gravel. (WRDW)
  2. Commemorating 100 years of in-the-air refueling, the U.S. Airforce will conduct flyovers in Augusta and across the nation. The flyover will begin at McDill Airforce Base, FL, reaching Cape Coral Beach, FL, at about 11:15 a.m., and crossing the Augusta National Golf Club at about 1:00 p.m. this Tuesday, Jul. 27. Today, the U.S. Airforce has a full fleet of aircraft competent to refuel in flight in the air — but in 1923, it was considered a near miracle. (WRDW)
  3. The Literacy Center of the HUB for Community Innovation at Augusta University marks its first birthday in 2023. The Center is holding summer camps, GED, and Adult Literacy classes. Originally focused on the needs of school-aged children, the programs are now expanding to meet the needs of the adult community. (Jagwire – Augusta)
