Cartersville Crime: Prowling, Receiving Stolen Property

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The Cartersville Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in the city. Arrests do not equal convictions.

• A 34-year-old man was arrested for probation violation, April 1.
• A 26-year-old woman was arrested for driving a car she did not have permission to drive and charged with theft by receiving stolen property-misdemeanor, April 1.
• A 34-year-old woman was arrested on a probation violation April 2.
• A 47-year-old man was arrested for loitering and prowling, resisting willful obstruction of law enforcement officers - misdemeanor. The man was riding a bike behind the closed businesses in the area behind Hobby Lobby 180 Market Square at about 12:31 a.m. An officer reported the man did not stop for when he commanded him to and just continued to ride his bike, April 1.
• A 48-year-old man was arrested for failure to appear-misdemeanor through Douglasville Police Department, March 30.
