Meet A Future Leader In Cartersville: Sahaj Patel

The future of Cartersville is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Sahaj Patel, who are making a positive impact in and around Cartersville.

Sahaj, Cartersville High School’s Class of 2024 Valedictorian, exemplifies academic excellence, leadership and service. As one of just two seniors in his graduating class to be named a Georgia Scholar, Sahaj earned recognition for his achievements across academics, extracurriculars, and community service.

“These students truly embody the characteristics of success, and they model for others what it means to be highly motivated, engaged, responsible, and astute,” said Superintendent Dr. Marc Feuerbach in a statement.

Sahaj’s academic accolades include being a Georgia Certificate of Merit Scholarship recipient, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and a two-time Governor’s Honors Program semifinalist in Mathematics.

Beyond the classroom, Sahaj was a dedicated leader in multiple student organizations. He served as Class Treasurer (2020-2021) and Class President (2022-2023) and held leadership roles in BETA Club (Treasurer), Math Team (Captain), National Honor Society, Principal’s Leadership Team and Robotics. He also excelled at sports (basketball and baseball) and was an active member of Sources of Strength and the Chess Club. Outside of school, Sahaj contributed to his community as the Youth Assembly Coordinator at the Hindu Temple.

Now pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, Sahaj is set to continue his path of excellence.
