Tornado Watch Issued For Bartow, Cherokee Counties
The two counties are also included in a wind advisory until 11 p.m. Thursday.
ATLANTA, GA — Bartow and Cherokee counties are under a tornado watch until 5 p.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
The alert comes hours ahead of anticipated severe thunderstorms for metro Atlanta and other parts of Georgia.
Metro Atlanta counties are also under a wind advisory until 11 p.m. Thursday as 16 mph wind gusts are expected.
