Candidate Melynee Leftridge for State Court Judge answers How She Deals with Repeat Offenders

Melynee Leftridge is running for Fulton County state Court Judge and explains how she deals with repeat offenders.

The July 31st election is 1 week away, and as things heat up we asked Melynee Leftridge, who is a candidate for Fulton County State Court Judge how she deals with repeat offenders in her courtroom.

She was able to effortlessly explain how it is a case by case scenario.

She looks in the past of the convicted and tries to determine if he or she would be best served with time in jail or maybe just probation or a "slap on the wrist.'

Off camera, I was able to ask whether or not she felt like Courtwatch and having community and victims in the courtroom was beneficial to her judgments, and Leftridge completely agreed.  Melynee said that is is an absolute joy to see members of the community in the courtroom during cases.  "It lets me know how important it is," when family members are in court, she said.
