Good Samaritan Dies After Saving Man From Oncoming Train in South Fulton
A car gets stuck on train tracks while witnesses try to help.

Update: Man dies from his injuries after being struck by the train while trying to save the drivier of a car that veered off road.
According to AJC reports, a car has driven off an embankment on Roosevelt Highway near Stack Road., and onto train tracks. The car was stuck on the tracks when witnesses tried to help the driver get out of the car and off the tracks.
According to the AJC, a witness tried to slide down the enbankment and help the driver of the disabled car. Tragically he fell on the way down and onto the track. While trying to save the driver from the train, he was clipped and lost his legs. He was transported to Grady, but later died.

As bystanders tried to help the driver get out of the minivan, a train approached, sending people running, according to witnesses. One of the Good Samaritans tried to walk across the tracks and was struck by the train, severing both of his legs.
Emergency crews responded to help the Good Samaritan and the driver who was in the car still when it was struck by the train.
