Douglasville Area Restaurant Inspections: KFC, Tito's Lounge

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA — Thinking of going out for a bite to eat? Then check out these inspection scores for restaurant and food-service operations conducted recently in Douglasville, Lithia Springs and Villa Rica.

Most restaurants scored A's or B's, and five scored perfect 100s. Also, one restaurant in Villa Rica just over the county line — Dockside Marina Restaurant & Bar — scored an A rating upon re-inspection after failing its inspection a few weeks ago.

No restaurants failed their inspections this time, and only one — Bar-B-Q House on Thornton Road in Lithia Springs — scored a C. A link to its inspection is included with its listing below. Low-scoring restaurants typically are given a second chance and re-inspected a few weeks later.

How They're Rated

Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from the best possible score of 100. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points. Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70 and U for less than 70.
