my daughter
Tell us why they deserve to be nominated!
Naya started school in 2020 when everything about the educational system had changed. Her first semester was spent in her dorm room with very little contact with other students. However this did not stop Naya from excelling throughout her college career. She was a Biology honors student who graduated Magna Cum Laude. During her summers she attended research programs at both Duke and UNC. This resulted in her being offered positions in 3 PHD graduate programs. While at school, she served as a peer mentor, lab mentor, a residential assistant, a student health peer counselor and vice president of students pursuing careers in the medical field.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about your graduating student nominee?
She will be attending Vanderbilt University in the fall to pursue her PHD
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Naya!
