Guns, Drugs Uncovered After Lithia Springs SWAT Standoff: Sheriff

A woman who called authorities over a domestic dispute is now herself wanted after deputies found guns, meth and marijuana in her home.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA — An alleged domestic dispute that led to a SWAT standoff Friday in Lithia Springs ended with a man in custody and the woman who called it in on the run.

Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at a residence on Old Beulah Road at about 4 a.m. after a call from Crystal Patrick, 31, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office. Led to believe that an armed man wanted for a parole violation was barricaded inside, deputies responded by calling their SWAT unit, known in Douglas County as the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team, or SERT.

Once SERT members entered the home, they found Noah Baker, 30, hiding in the attic. He was apprehended without further incident. Deputies who later searched the residence also found firearms, about 2.5 ounces of meth and more than 3 pounds of marijuana — but by that time Patrick was nowhere to be found.
