Harvester Senior is National Merit Commended Student
Nicolas Miranda is in the top 3% of seniors nationally
On Wednesday, November 10, Head of School Rick Johnson presented senior Nicolas Miranda with a National Merit Scholarship Program certificate and letter of commendation in the HCA chapel with his parents others present. Each year, over 1.5 million high school juniors take the PSAT and the top 50,000 scorers qualify for program recognition, signifying their outstanding academic promise. Nicolas is among the top 3% of the national class of 2022 based on the scores of the PSAT qualifying test.
A National Merit spokesperson stated, “those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success. These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success."
