'Kindhearted & Unselfish' Douglasville Student Gets Special Shoutout

Douglasville, GA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

She’s my daughter

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

She’s an excellent student and good citizen. She graduated with a 4.0 GPA. She was an Honor Graduate, Board Scholar and AP Scholar. She was involved in many clubs and organizations throughout her high school career, such as National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Key Club, BETA Club, Chorus, to name a few and many of these organizations she held leadership roles. Jordan received scholarship offers from over eighteen different colleges and universities totaling $700,000 dollars. Jordan was selected to participate in the Douglas County Youth Commission which exposed students to the inner workings of the county government. Jordan was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, gave blood regularly at the Red Cross, Books for Africa, participated with Walks for the Cure for Cancer and Autism.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

She’s very Kindhearted and Unselfish.
