DOUUGLASVILLE, GA -- Mayor Rochelle Robinson and members of the Douglasville City Council will receive the proposed fiscal year 2020 budget presentation at an open hearing Thursday, May 23, at 6 p.m. at the Douglasville Conference Center.
Finance Director, Karin Callan, will briefly outline proposed revenues and expenses anticipated for the upcoming fiscal year for the General Fund, Special Revenue funds and the Enterprise funds. The Douglasville City Council holds an annual retreat with senior staff each February to establish priorities for the upcoming budget cycle. From those priorities, City staff then work to develop each departmental budget from March through May. Beginning in April, staff presents a draft of each departmental budget to the Mayor and Council at the annual two-day budget workshop. This recently occurred on April 24 and 25. Staff has made the updates to the budget and the final budget document has been distributed to Mayor and Council.
