Duluth Finalist for 'Most Patriotic' in Contest
Duluth among finalist cities to be visited by amateur travelers to decide 2012 Best Small Towns in America winners. The Best of the Road Rally is sponsored by Rand McNally and USA TODAY.
Rand McNally and USA TODAY announced that Duluth has been named a finalist for “Most Patriotic” in the second annual Best of the Road Rally!
Ten amateur travelers divided into teams of two will be visiting each of finalist towns this summer to decide on the 2012 Best Small Towns in America including the Most Beautiful, Most Patriotic, Best for Food, Friendliest, and Most Fun. The finalists include 26 new towns and four teams returning from the 2011 Road Rally.
Road rally teams will meet June 15 in Washington, DC, to kick off the trip. Along the way, they’ll post blogs and submit photos and videos of the towns they visit and finish a month later in Seattle, WA. Finalists were announced May 25.
