Fatal I-285 Crash Kills Man Near Ashford Dunwoody Road

DUNWOODY — A man was found dead Wednesday after his car crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 285 west past Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody Police said.

Construction workers found the crashed white Kia Sorento around 1:45 a.m. on I-285 near Ashford Dunwoody Road and notified authorities, police said.

When officers arrived, they found the driver dead at the scene, police said.

It is unknown what caused the crash, and the man was not identified, pending next-of-kin notification.
