Police Join Forces with Neighborhood Social Network
Dunwoody Police plan to post crime updates and other pertinent information for residents on the website Nextdoor.

The Dunwoody Police Department is bringing crime alerts to the 21st century with plans to cooperate with the private neighborhood social networking platform, Nextdoor.
Designed to foster tight-knit communities, Nextdoor is a free website that allows residents to access information specific to their neighborhood, along with the opportunity to get to know other neighbors and exchange local advice. Each neighborhood has its own private page visible only to verified neighbors, which makes the platform a safe space to share personal information, authorities say.
By teaming up with Nextdoor, the department will be able to share important information like crime updates to the city’s Nextdoor sites.
