Plane Crash Injures 2 In DeKalb (patch.com) — Residents near the Homeland neighborhood, which stretches into Dunwoody, woke to emergency crews Sunday after a small plane crashed into a backyard, injuring two people. Both occupants were able to walk away with non-life-threatening injuries, and no homes or bystanders in the Dunwoody-adjacent area were significantly damaged as federal investigators review what went wrong.

Dunwoody Park resident receives empty package (appenmedia.com) — A Dunwoody resident living off Dunwoody Park reported that an $830 iPhone 17 he ordered arrived in a sealed FedEx package with only packing material and a charger base inside. After the delivery driver reclaimed the package, Dunwoody police documented the suspected mail theft, though no suspect has been identified yet.
   

3. Dunwoody officers assist Tennessee police, arrest wanted man (appenmedia.com) — Dunwoody police recently used surveillance cameras to spot a man wanted for felony theft in Tennessee, then stopped his car near I-285 and Roswell Road. Officers detained the Jacksonville, Florida, suspect, confiscated Nintendo merchandise, and booked him into DeKalb County Jail as a fugitive before he was later released to another agency.
   

4. Window tint violation leads to felony arrest (appenmedia.com) — Dunwoody police say a routine traffic stop at Chamblee Dunwoody Road and Cotillion Drive led to the discovery of marijuana, THC edibles, and a handgun in a driver’s car. The 35-year-old from unincorporated DeKalb County now faces felony drug and firearm charges and was later released on bond from DeKalb County Jail.
