- On Jun. 14, just before 1:00 a .m., the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28 adults and two juveniles for trespassing and illegal drug use. According to reports, a large group of people were having an unauthorized pool party at the Bowman Station Apartments, located at 5235 Bowman Road in north Macon. Deputies found drugs, alcohol, and approximately 15 firearms at the party. (13 WMAZ)
- On Jun. 16, a 16-year-old teen was shot in the 1000 block of Thomas Place, near Napier Avenue in Macon. According to Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the victim ran to Edna Place and is currently in stable condition at a local hospital. As of Thursday, Jun. 16, the incident remains under investigation; those with information on the shooting are asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff's Office or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers. - Shavawn Coleman, 17, was sentenced to life in prison after he plead guilty to multiple accounts of armed robbery. Coleman robbed multiple Macon businesses during a five-month-long armed-robbery spree from January to May 2022. The series of incidents ended when he was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery.
