  1. Bibb County deputies are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning, Jun. 20, in the 3500 block of Lawton Road in Macon. According to officials, deputies found 28-year-old Christopher Dewayne Curry Jr. in the middle of the road with a fatal gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 751-7500 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME. (41 NBC News)
  2. Wallace Adside, a Bibb County landlord, was sentenced to jail for one week after being convicted of 20 alleged code violations leading to unsafe conditions. Most of the violations come from 346 Grant Avenue in Macon and include exposed wires, cracking ceilings, trash, a malfunctioning sewage line, and more. The health department will inspect the property to see if the sewage line has been fixed on Friday, Jun. 23, the day Adside gets out of jail. (13 WMAZ)
