1 Dead, 1 Seriously Injured After Being Ejected From Car In Semi-Truck Crash: Cobb Police
A FL man was driving a semi-truck when he crashed into a Toyota with two 18-year-olds inside. Both were ejected from the car, and one died.
MARIETTA, GA — One person is dead and another is seriously injured after a semi-truck crashed into a car on Sunday, which caused both people to be ejected from the vehicle, Cobb police said.
At 8:31 p.m. Sunday, two 18-year-olds were in a Toyota Camry that was stopped on Interstate 75 southbound in the fourth lane from the left. A Kenworth T680 semi-truck, pulling a 53-foot trailer and driven by Sean Fletcher, 56, of Plantation, Florida, was headed southbound in the same lane.
Fletcher crashed into the Toyota, which was pushed across two lanes when it came to a stop in the first lane. The two 18-year-olds were both ejected from the Toyota, and the passenger was pronounced dead on the scene.

The 18-year-old driver was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries. Fletcher was transported to Wellstar Kennestone with complaint of minor injuries.
Names of the teens are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin, police said.
