Cobb Prepares For MLK Celebration

The event is still auditioning for two performance roles this week.

MARIETTA, GA -- The Cobb County government and local NAACP are joining to celebrate the annual the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday on Jan 16.

The festivities will take place at Turner Chapel AME Church. The free event, themed "“Pursuing Liberties in the Face of Injustice," will feature musical entertainment, spoken word and more. The event is still looking for two roles and will hold auditions on Thursday at 6.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. at Jennie T. Anderson Theatre on S. Marietta Parkway.
