Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:

  1. The Cobb Law Library is sponsoring a series at the Switzer Library about custody issues. The first program is titled "Custody Concerns" and is scheduled for Tuesday, Sep. 13 at 6:00 p.m. The series is free to attend but participants must register by calling 770-528-1884. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. The Marietta Police Department is warning the community about an increase in phone scams. The scammers are targeting individuals of all ages. The internet is being used to gather information about potential targets and to increase scammers' legitimacy. The department is trying to distribute information about the scams. (Yahoo.com)
  3. To commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Cobb County District Attorney's Office is hosting an event to educate the community about getting out of a domestic violence situation. The event is titled "In Her Shoes" and is scheduled for Wednesday, Sep. 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will be hosted at the Sewell Mill Library on Lower Roswell Road in Marietta.
