Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:
- The Georgia Department of Transportation will be making emergency bridge repairs on I-75 in Marietta this weekend. The repairs will close lanes near the intersection with I-575. The closures are expected to last until Monday at 5:00 a.m. Click the following link for safety precautions and alternative routes. (Cobb County Courier)
- Fire officials have accused three teens of starting a gazebo fire in Marietta's Chimney Lake subdivision. The three 14-year-old boys have been charged with third-degree arson. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to come forward by calling 770-499-3869. (Marietta Patch)
- Cobb County School District's busses will begin picking up students on Aug. 1 for the 2022-2023 school year. The district has provided a helpful Bus Route Finder tool to locate a student's bus route. The county operates 37,000 bus stops and 870 bus routes. Click to use the bus route tool.
