Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:

  1. Marietta's 35th Annual Art in the Park was held on Saturday in Glover Park. The free festival featured 170 fine artists displaying various artistic works in various mediums. Kids had the chance to design a one-of-a-kind masterpiece with Chalk Spot. Click the following link to watch the festival video. (CBS46)
  2. The Cobb Public Library System is offering expanded services in September in celebration of Library Card Sign-Up Month. The services are meant to provide community support in education, health, workforce development, and more. Library Card Sign-Up Month first started in 1987 and is meant to ensure every child has a library card. Click to learn more about the system's expanded services in September. (Cobb County Courier)
  3. A flood watch was issued for Cobb County over Labor Day Weekend in response to a storm that brought heavy rains to the area. The National Weather Service issued the flood watch for Sunday evening through Monday evening. Governor Brian Kemp issued a State of Emergency for Chattooga and Floyd Counties. (CBS46)
