Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:

1. Cobb Elections conducted a limited scope audit of May's Primary Election after a resident requested it. The audit compared a hand count with ballot-scanning equipment in one Vinings Cityhood precinct. The counts matched exactly. According to Elections Director Janine Eveler, she wanted to provide an example of results being reported accurately. (Cobb County GA)

3. The Marietta Police Department has arrested Brackus Golden, 24-years-old, in connection with a Woodstock area shooting that occurred on Sunday evening. The unidentified victim of the shooting was reportedly in a relationship with Golden's ex-girlfriend. He was apprehended with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the abdomen.
