Marietta Primary Election 2022: Unofficial Results In

MARIETTA, GA — Election Day is over in Marietta, and voters have cast their ballots in the 2022 primary election.

This year, Cobb voters decided on county commissioners in districts 1 and 3; school board members in districts 2, 4 and 6; solicitor general; superior court judge; state court judges; state Senate districts; state House districts; and U.S. House of Representatives districts 3 and 13.

There were also cityhood questions for the proposed cities of East Cobb, Lost Mountain and Vinings, depending on where you live.

As of 2 a.m. Wednesday, unofficial results all precincts fully reported in Cobb County.

Republican incumbent JoAnn Birrell took the lead for County Commission District 3. She will face unopposed Democrat Christine Triebsch.

For the Board of Education, unofficial results for District 2 show Stephen George Jr., took a slight lead for the Republicans, to face Becky Sayler for the Democrats.

Makia Metzger took the lead for Democrat running for Solicitor General. She will face unopposed Republican Courtney Martin Brubaker.

The ballot also included statewide elections, such as governor, secretary of state, attorney general, agriculture commissioner, insurance commissioner, state school superintendent and labor commissioner.
