MCS #1 Mid-Sized School District in Technology Know-How

Marietta City Schools has earned top honors for technology integration, and placed 1^st, among mid-sized school districts (3,000 – 12,000 students), in the nation’s ninth annual Digital School Districts Survey by the Center for Digital Education (CDE) and the National School Boards Association (NSBA). For the seventh consecutive year, MCS placed among the Top 10 U.S. School Districts Honored for Technology Know-How.

The annual Digital School Districts Survey highlights exemplary school boards and districts’ use of technology to govern the district, communicate with students, parents and the community and to improve district operations. Marietta City Schools requires students to take online classes for graduation and, beginning in the sixth grade; students build and maintain a college and career-ready e-portfolio.
