Missing Boy Dies After Being Found Near Reeves Lake

The boy was reported missing around 3:08 p.m. and was found near the lake 30 minutes later.

MARIETTA, GA — A 3-year-old child reported missing in Marietta Wednesday afternoon has died after he was found near the Reeves Lake shoreline, police said.

Marietta police say they received a call around 3:08 p.m. that a mother had reported the boy missing from her apartment in the 1250 block of Powder Springs Street. The boy was found 30 minutes later near the lake shoreline, police say.

The boy was taken to Kennestone Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
