Wedding Bells: Cobb Magistrate Court Offers More Wedding Ceremony Slots In February
For the "Month of Love," the Magistrate Court of Cobb County increased the availability of free wedding ceremony appointment slots.

COBB COUNTY, GA — The Magistrate Court of Cobb County is celebrating the "Month of Love" by offering more wedding ceremony slots for Cobb Countians looking to tie the knot.
Chief Magistrate Judge Brendan F. Murphy "made it easier than ever" to book a free wedding ceremony appointment in Cobb, according to a news release. On the special date of 2/22/22 and Valentine's Day, judges will conduct group ceremonies throughout the day.
The court will also hold ceremonies at noon and 6 p.m. every day this month as usual. A fun photo area for Cobb's newlyweds to capture memories of their big day will be available all month.

“Celebrating weddings with Cobb’s couples is one of the happiest moments at the courthouse,” Murphy said. “We’re glad to welcome those wanting to tie the knot during this Month of Love while keeping the newlyweds and their guests safe and healthy.”
All ceremonies are by appointment only. Using the court's new online reservation system, couples can make an appointment online at cobbcounty.org/magistrate or call the Warrant Division at 770-528-8900.

At the ceremony, each couple must present a valid marriage license issued by any Probate Court in the state.
Couples can invite up to four guests to the ceremony, and a mask or face covering is required when entering the courthouse. Those getting married can temporarily remove their masks during the ceremony.
