Police Investigating Two Armed Robberies at Waffle House
Eatery in the 2800 block of Delk Road was hit twice in the past three days, say Marietta police.
MARIETTA, GA -- Police in Marietta on Tuesday are investigating two armed robberies that occurred at a popular restaurant in the new year.
The incidents happened 48 hours apart at the same Waffle House in the 2800 block of Delk Road.
In the latest crime, two armed suspects entered the eatery about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday and demanded money from employees. The men then ran across Delk Road toward Kroger's parking lot, Marietta police said in a news release.

Both suspects are described as black males; one is 5’06” tall, 150 pound. He was wearing dark pants and a dark “New York” hooded jacket. He also had a handgun, police said.
The other is described as 6’01’ tall and about 150 pounds. He was last seen in a dark jacket and dark pants (with the top and shoulders being a lighter color), police said.

The earlier incident happened about 5:53 a.m. on New Year's Day. The perpetrators robbed the Waffle House employees of an undisclosed amount of cash. They fled on foot going north, police said.
One of the suspects is described as a black male in his mid-20s. He is 5’08”-5’09” tall and was last seen wearing a dark gray shirt and dark pants. The other man is a black male also 5’08’-5’09’ tall and in his mid-20s. He is described as wearing gray pants and carrying a handgun.
