Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:

  1. Marietta High School's Principal Eric Holland has been hired as Rome City Schools' new superintendent. Holland was the sole candidate and previously served as Rome High School's Principal. With his selection, Holland is the district's first Black superintendent. (MDJOnline.com)
  2. Brown Bag Lunchtime Concerts return today in Marietta Square. The popular free concerts will be held every Thursday between noon and 1:00 p.m. this month. Participants are encouraged to grab lunch at any of the amazing restaurants surrounding Marietta Square and then listen to the free concert. (Cobb County Courier)
  3. Three individuals have been arrested for firing airsoft guns at people in a Cobb County park. Dalton Henderson, 19, Arianna McCard, 18, and a 16-year-old are all facing various charges. The incident occurred at Logan Farm Park in Acworth and the individuals shot pellets from the guns. (WSBTV)
